3D Printed Semi-scale Grumman F9F Cougar - Put Together Quickly

This is a fully 3D printed semi-scale RC Grumman F9F Cougar that is relatively quick to print and easy to assemble. The design includes 3D printed gauges to ensure the precise setup of control surfaces and balance. A custom take-off ‘dolly’ is also included to ensure a reliable take off. The model has been tested with both FMS and XFly 50mm EDF units. A 1600mAh 4S Lipo provides power along with a 40A ESC. The primary structure is printed in LW-PLA and the flying weight including the 1600mAh battery is 750 grammes. Additional hardware such as carbon rod and tube, music wire, collets etc are detailed below. Full details are provided in the print and assembly guide which is included in the download. A pdf decal sheet (US Navy) is also provided. Recommended Hardware & Equipment 1. 4+ Channel Receiver. 2. 40 - 50A ESC 3. FMS 2627-kv4500 50mm EDF or XFly-Model X5 2627-kv4600 EDF. 4. 1600 mAh 4S LiPo. 5. 3 off FMS5GDP 5g Servos & screws with long leads. 6. 12 off Magnets 10 x 5 x 2mm 7. 10 off M2 x 4.5mm Self tapping screws. 8. 1mm Carbon rod. 9. 4mm Carbon Tube (H-Stab Spar). 10. 1mm Music Wire (Elevator - Servo connection). 11. 1.5mm Music Wire (Aileron - Servo connection). 12. 2mm Music Wire (Launch Dolly). 13. 4 off 2.5mm Collets (Launch Dolly). 14. Velcro. The aircraft flies “On Rails” and would make an excellent first EDF that can be built and flown on a very reasonable budget.
