Sky News host Erin Molan has slammed the Prime Minister's failure to even pick up the phone and call his Chinese counterpart after the “abhorrent actions of his military” which endangered the lives of members of our own. This comes after a Chinese jet detonated flares in front of an Australian military helicopter in the Yellow Sea. “Our people sign up to serve this nation, and they are willing to give their life in the process,” Ms Molan said. “But it would be reasonable to expect that most assume that might occur when they are training for or sent to war – not when they are conducting peacetime missions and a bully swoops in. “In the current climate of global uncertainty and danger, our very obvious and very public display of weakness may cause far greater issues down the track than having to endure one uncomfortable conversation on behalf of those who dedicate their lives to keeping us safe.”
