In Part of the great Western Central Desert, Uluru ( Single rock Uluru/Ayers Rock rises 1,142 feet (348 metres) above the surrounding desert plain )and Kata Tjuta(Formerly known as the Olgas, the 36 domes of Kata Tjuta cover more than 20 square kilometres and soar up to 546 metres above the surrounding plain) are 2 iconic landmarks of Australia formed some 550 millions years ago. It is a place your soul seems to embrace the harshness and the solitary remoteness of this beautiful land where the Aboriginal people migrated to, from the North some 30,000 to 40,000 years ago, it is simply mind blowing. I had the privilege to work there for a few months as a tour guide, to see it in all its glory, in rain, in the heat and the cold, the hundreds of sunrises and sunsets, moon rise and colours of the rocks. Beyond my power to explain the spiritual connection you get to the rawness of the land, the red sand, the red rocks, the Anangu people the Traditional land owners living simple lives....
