Today I am reviewing my Thermarest NeoAir XLite NXT Regular Wide, in what is left of the video after getting the name out I share my experiences of this pad, as well as some stats and facts about it. This sleeping pad was a gamechanger for me, having come to bikepacking from a base of ultralight backpacking gear I had always had a mummy/coffin shaped pad, purely because they are lighter than this rectangular pad, however after using a wider pad on the GDMBR last year following a failure of my original mattress, I found the added comfort and quality of sleep completely worth any small cost in terms of weight and pack size. Since switching to this pad I have enjoyed camping on trips so much more than I did in the past.
