Inside the All-Electric 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S: Features, Specs & First Impressions | Cars | Forbes

With the introduction of Jeep's first all-electric SUV, the 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S combines the rugged off-road capabilities that Jeep is renowned for with cutting-edge EV technology. Boasting over 600 horsepower and a 300-mile range, the Wagoneer S is designed to deliver exceptional performance both on and off the road. Its innovative design includes a light bar across the front and rear, a luxurious interior with a futuristic approach to screens, and a steering wheel that's flat on the top and bottom for enhanced visibility. The vehicle also features a sustainable approach, phasing out chrome in favor of more eco-friendly materials. Inside, the Wagoneer S offers a driver-centric experience with a large multimedia screen, an embedded driver display, and a passenger screen to engage co-pilots on the journey. The center console is redesigned with a dial drive selector and modern metallic features, emphasizing Jeep's commitment to luxury and sustainability. As Jeep prepares to launch this model in late 2025, the automotive world eagerly awaits to see if the Wagoneer S will meet the high expectations set by its predecessors and win over both traditional Jeep enthusiasts and EV fans alike. Jeep has just one rule: Don’t screw it up. That’s quite the edict for taking the vaunted premium off-road brand into the electric future. But the alternative isn’t an option; the future won’t wait for anyone. So the interest in the Jeep Wagoneer S, the first all-electric Jeep, at the Los Angeles Auto Show may have been just as much curiosity to see if the brand pulled off the challenge as getting a close look at Jeep’s newest design. Crowds waited in line to climb inside and see it, as well as the all-electric Dodge Charger Daytona, for themselves. As much as an all-electric Jeep sparks curiosity, it’s the design of the Wagoneer S, how it plays to Jeep’s traditional heritage details and how it evolves the brand’s design language with new technology and materials that is attracting so much attention. The specs for the Jeep Wagoneer S are solid: 600 hp, dual motors, 4WD capability, 300+ miles of driving range, 5 drive modes including snow and sand, plug-and-charge capability at public chargers and a charge system that can recharge to 80% in 23 minutes at a DC fast charger. With a starting price of about $71,000, Jeep is offering a 3-year lease for $599 a month. But the Wagoneer S is still a Jeep and that demands capability. To ensure true Jeep performance, the Wagoneer S was cold-weather and snow tested this summer in New Zealand. And for true purists, a Trailhawk edition with higher ground clearance, water fording capability and true 4WD capability will be available later in 2025.
