02. 판소리(수궁가 중 '고고천변 대목' ) 판소리는 서사적이고 극적구성으로 된 긴 이야기를 노래로 부르는 극음악으로, 18세기 이후 발달한 최고의 예술음악이다. 흔히 판소리는 서민예술이라고 말하기도 하지만 판소리는 역사적으로 서민에서부터 귀족층에 이르기까지 폭넓은 향유층을 보유했다. 판소리는 조선후기 도시경제의 발달 과정에서 성장한 음악이며 19세기 중반 진양 장단을 수용하면서 예술성을 고도로 끌어올렸다. 여기에 설렁제, 추천목, 경드름 등 다양한 선율적 특징들이 적재적소에 사용되면서 음악적 정교함을 완결시켜 전통음악의 다양함이 포용되어 있다. 춘향가·심청가·흥부가·수궁가·적벽가 등 다섯 바탕이 전해지며 오늘날은 창작판소리도 만들어진다. 현재 중요무형문화재 제5호로 지정되어있고, 스토리를 구연하되 창과 아니리와 발림이 함께 하는 특징적인 공연양식과 오랜 역사를 인정받아 2003년에는 세계유네스코위원회의 ‘인류무형문화유산’으로 선정되었다. 02. Pansori(Sugungga) The highest form of art music that has ever developed since the 18th century, Pansori is a form of dramatic vocal music which uses a long narrative. Although it is often regarded as an art of commoners, it actually enjoyed popularity with a wide audience ranging from commoners to the aristocracy. It developed as an urban economy developed in the late Joseon dynasty, and took its artistry to an even higher level as it adopted the rhythmic pattern of jinyang in the middle of the 19th century. And the adequate use of diverse melodic styles such as seolleongje, chucheonmok, and gyeongdeureum in the right place makes it even more exquisite. Five songs, Chunhyangga, Simcheongga, Heungbuga, Sugungga, and Jeokbyeokga, have come down to us, and new songs are composed these days also. Designated as Important Intangible Cultural Property No. 5, and was included on the list of UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2003 for its long history and unique form that conveys a narrative through singing, speaking, and acting. ○ 소리/유미리, 고수/강형수 ○ 주최 및 촬영/국립국악원[National Gugak Center]
