"Остров" - часть территории ЧАЭС, на которой хотели построить 5 и 6 энергоблоки, а также вспомогательные сооружения и две градирни к ним. Территория окружена прудом-охладителем и каналами со всех сторон, откуда и получила свое название. "Island" is the territory of ChNPP on which should have been built reactor units №5 and №6, as well as supporting facilities and two cooling towers.
