We've all seen it before. You set up a new tactic, win every friendly, then - first game of the season - you get absolutely thumped. That's about to change!! It's easy to miss significant, structural issues during preseason, with wins glossing over weaknesses, and facing opposition who themselves are not fully fit and are unable to take advantage. I take a look at the process I use for tweaking my tactic during preseason, with focus on identifying a style, and analysing individual performances & partnerships to inform changes. In a change of approach, I'll be looking at specific scenarios through the season and exploring how I handle them, both good and bad.
