THE MYSTERY OF IMAGE AND SOUND: singing universes of KIRIN

What unites man and God? Man was created in the image and likeness of his creator. Man was created to create. The act of creation is a fire ignited from a spark born from the fusion of cosmic atoms – a gift from the Father, given to man for undivided use. Who are we, if not creators? We create our own world, entire universes, full of beautiful thoughts, objects, feelings and emotions, embodied in works of art, science and in our existence on this Earth, following our destiny. In the beginning there was a song. And there was God’s song and the song was God! Premiere September, the 3d at 18:00, in the art gallery "EL RIO LOFT BY BRATASHЪ ART" at Samara, Moskovskoe highway 205, 1st floor of the El Rio shopping mall, the premiere of the unique creative project "MYSTERY OF IMAGE AND SOUND: singing universes of KIRIN" will take place, dedicated to the grand closing of the exhibition of ceramic paintings by Kirin Arts. Dear ladies and gentlemen, gracious sirs and madams, we are pleased to bring to your attention a new format of creative interaction. We called it a mystery, being cognizant of the fact that art performs an educating function that is necessary for every person as a spiritual and moral guide. Every person at any turn of their life strives, in one way or another, to comprehend this world by using the experience of their ancestors or other people, captured in the form of art. codes, visual symbols, and musical formulas. At the same time, any form of art is always a kind of mystery, a riddle, the answers to which are inside every one of us and to everyone they are unique. Artists, poets, masters of the word, musicians, and actors are guides to this mystical universe of symbols and secrets. Theaters, galleries, museums, and, first of all, nature in any of its manifestations: flora, fauna, elements, minerals, stones, earth, clay… By calling our performance "mystery", we go beyond the classical religious reading of this concept and go deeper into its archetypal meaning, implying an appeal to the origins of the theater, of the ritual: "mystery" is a secret and sacrament accessible to initiated. That is, it is not a theater at all, but something BEFORE the theater. A performance in which several types of art merge (in our case, visual, applied, musical-instrumental and vocal, choreography, plasticity and the art of mastering the word), creating for the viewer a space of deep experiences and a series of states and processes of a spiritual nature. In general, the performance proceeds according to the script, but it is not devoid of an improvisational component, thanks to the presence of a unique instrument invented in the 21st century - a handpan - which Lidia Igolnikova will play in our project. The overall effect will be enhanced by the natural acoustics of space, live performance of the voice, violin, piano, play of light, visual series of plastic studies and direct contemplation of the canvases themselves. The idea was born after getting acquainted with the works of Kirin Arts, which are the centerpiece of the whole process. The key intent is the synthesis of musical and visual components: creating a musical score for paintings, for each separately and for the series as a whole, united by a global concept of a person as a creator. Visiting the KIRIN ARTS exhibition, which opened in July this year in the space of the gallery "EL RIO LOFT BY BRATASHЪ ART", we saw music in ceramics.
