What made it so good? In addition to Bakula and Stockwell, the show also never really stuck to one genre. Given the nature of the show, some week's Sam's mission would be action-packed and exciting, while in other weeks it would be straight drama or even comedy. Truly it was a one of a kind show that, in a pre-internet era, even beat cancellation thanks to one of the biggest letter-writing campaigns in TV history.
