Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering (RSCOE) has been established in 2001 with the aim of providing quality technical education and excellence in the ever expanding horizon of technical revolution of 21st century. The institute is becoming an icon in the field of engineering education in the state of Maharashtra. The Institute has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. The institute has many eminent personalities from the field of education and industry on its advisory committee, whose rich experience and guidance benefits the society. The institute stands committed to technical, moral and intellectual growth of the students and provides the best possible job placement through the training and placement cell. The college aims to transform the raw intelligent input into committed engineering graduates and to explore the hidden capabilities of the students towards the best leadership and technological management strength which makes them future successful entrepreneurs. RSCOE got accreditation for five Engineering UG program by N. B. A. New Delhi. Jspm’s Rajarshi shahu college of Engineering awarded ‘A’ grade by NAAC with 3.26 CGPA. RSCOE is awarded as the Best College (Professional-Urban Category) by University of Pune for the academic year 12-13. Department of Mechanical Engineering incepted in the year of 2002 with an intake of 60 at Under Graduate level.The intake increased to 120 students in the year 2006 and 180 in the year 2013. It is then enhanced to 240 in the year 2014. The department also offers Post Graduate Courses, M.E. Mechanical (Heat Power Engineering) and ME (Design Engineering). The department has also recognized as Research Center of SPPU in year the 2012. Department has well balanced combination of experienced and well qualified faculty members along with the young, dynamic and competent leadership. Department has fully fledged laboratories with state of art technology equipments and are armed with the recent software which are highly demanded by the employers. The Department of Mechanical Engineering always has its emphasis to impart the quality education considering the recent trends of current industrial Scenario to make them capable to meet the needs.
