Anyway, Naruto steals it, and Mizuki begins to tell Naruto everything about his connection to the Demon Fox, and how it results in Naruto being outcast from the village. He proceeds to tell him that now that he’s done this, Mizuki can get away with the scroll, and nobody will be able to blame anyone but Naruto. Iruka at this point tells Naruto he needs to escape and not let Mizuki get the scroll. Naruto makes another choice though. Instead of running away, he stays behind to protect Iruka from Mizuki, as he’s the only person who has ever loved Naruto, despite their troubled past. But what if Naruto HAD listened to Iruka?
