I want to offer you a journey through the ancient and mysterious Khakassian land. Today we will go to the mountain of kun, which is located twenty kilometers from the capital of Khakassia, city of Abakan. Kunya, according to the ancient Turkic, Kung-Tag (mount of Sun) lies on the left Bank of the Yenisei and along with the mountain ranges Sukhanikha Tepsey and the Oglahty constitutes a "Large Yenisei gate". These four mountains since ancient times was sacred to the locals, each of them, there was the sanctuary, they are the largest concentrations of rock paintings – petroglyphs. Kunya famous remnants of ancient stone walls, one of which stretches along the mountain slope for a distance of about two kilometers. Modern historians there is no consensus about the purpose and time of the construction of these facilities. The ruins of another wall separated the Cape from the ritual site and apparently the stone altar. At the base of that wall someone was excavated, according to rumors here is the armoured plate military armor of XI – XII centuries. Next to the ritual ground, resting one edge on a rocky ledge, and the other on the small stone is a separate stone block – the head of the spirit, Kung-Tag.
