TV 2 Visual Identity 2023 Showreel

TV 2 Denmark has gotten a new look and a new logo, new font and new colors. The new visual expression must bring together the media house's channels and brands and embrace the digital transformation that both the users and TV 2 are undertaking. TV 2's new appearance consists of 34 new colours, a new font and a new logo, which brings together TV 2's brands in a more uniform expression across platforms. The well-known TV 2 logo has been given a new shape and is placed in a circle to strengthen the kinship between channels and platforms. As one of the most significant changes, TV 2 Play's logo will henceforth have the same red color as TV 2's main channel. The change is a natural step in the movement from traditional TV to streaming. - Our new appearance must make it clearer to users that they are in contact with TV 2's content, regardless of where they meet us. Today, Danes meet TV 2 across our streaming service, channels, apps, news site and podcasts. Therefore, we need a strong and unifying identity, which is created for both current and future generations of digital media users, says managing director at TV 2 Anne Engdal Stig Christensen. A natural step in the movement from traditional TV to streaming When TV 2 went on the air in 1988, Danes had only two channels to choose from. The world doesn't look like that anymore. Therefore, the decisive goal of TV 2's 2025 strategy is to future-proof the company's impact with digital transformation and the development of TV 2 Play as a focal point. - TV 2 delivers credible news journalism and quality Danish content, and we are here to inform and engage the Danes in the community. It remains our most important task, even when we are moving from traditional TV to streaming in these years. Therefore, it is also visually important to emphasize that you can expect the same from TV 2, regardless of where you meet us. The red color has followed us for several years, and with it we carry on our history and DNA, says Anne Engdal Stig Christensen. From TV channel to digital media company The company TV 2 Denmark, which until now has shared a logo with the main channel, gets its own visual expression with the new identity. It is used, among other things, in TV 2's reports, including TV 2's accountability report, which sets direction and goals for the company's work with sustainable development. - As a media company, employer and producer, we have a responsibility to set and follow agendas that extend beyond our program area. For example, the green transition in the media industry is an important focus area for us, just as we have high ambitions in relation to TV 2 as a workplace. The new visual identity must help give TV 2 Denmark a clearer position, among other things when it comes to managing and communicating our social responsibility, says Anne Engdal Stig Christensen. Ongoing rollout The new identity launched on TV 2's platforms on Monday 27 March 2023. However, this is an ongoing rollout, and as a user you will therefore experience that parts of the new visual expression are continuously updated, and that there will be a transition phase where you will still encounter the current logo.
