Army PFT Scores PDF: https://www.mtu.edu/arotc/cadet-porta... Today, we’re gonna try the old school US Army Physical Fitness Test. This consists of how many pushups you can do in 2 minutes, how many sit-ups you can do in 2 minutes, & how long it takes you to run 2 miles. Let’s check it out! Intro bumper like badass skills & tactics? Subscribe & hit the bell! Hey Ninja, Michael here with Badass Mindset. All you need to do this test is a timer a 2-mile course. Give it a shot & let me know how you do in the comments below. To put this in perspective, I’m 5’10”, weigh 130 lbs, & am 33 years old. Let’s see how I fare. The first part of this test consists of how many pushups you can do in 2-minutes. My knees & back must remain straight, & my chest has to basically hit a clenched fist at the bottom of every rep (example). To pass the US Army PFT test, you need a cumulative score of 180 points. I was gonna speed this up in the edit, but I wanted you to see how my body does: Where I struggle, where I’m finding difficulty, & how I push through… so I left it at regular time At this point, my arms just give out. I think that once I give up my position, my count is finished. I thought about this afterward, but in the meantime, I’ll try for more. This was taxing - this was much more difficult than I thought. My go-to workout is 10 push ups, 10 squats, 3 pullups, & 10 calf raises…. 10 times. So it’s 100, 100, 30, 100 by the time I’m done, & I do it in under 20-minutes - So I thought I could easily hit the max score of 100 at 70 pushups, but I only hit 50. For the 17-21 year old age group, this would be 74 points- & for my age group, 32-36, 74 points. Next is sit-ups. Commence in 3, 2, 1… (show) My hands need to be behind my head, my elbows have to touch my knees, & my shoulder blades have to touch the floor. At the 1-minute mark, this got much more difficult, because sit-ups aren’t something that I normally train. The max amount of reps for sit-ups is 75, resulting in between 92-99 points, depending on your age group. I hit 40 sit-ups, earning 58 points, for a total of 132 points so far We’ve mapped out our 2-mile run, I’m gonna go ahead & that now. For the 17-21 year old age group, 18 minutes & 35 seconds would have netted me just 23 points, for a failing score of 133. For my age group, however, this got me 52 points for a passing score of 184. Alright, thanks for watching, hit that like button, be sure to subscribe, & I’ll see ya next time. Stay badass!
