Once again with Latin skin we need to be extremely careful with how deep and rough we are with the skin. The risk for post inflammatory hyperpigmentation is high. We need to be respectful of the patients goals which are to reduce the darker bumps that can be seen easily. The sacs of her steatos are not large and seem to be pretty deep. I do try with the forceps to see if anything is close to the surface. They are not and digging deep into the dermis can trigger pigmentation and scarring.
