Inductive loads explained

What's inductive load? An inductive load is any electrical device or component that primarily relies on inductance to operate. Inductive loads store energy in a magnetic field when electricity flows through them and resist changes in current. These loads typically consist of coils or windings of wire that generate a magnetic field when energized, and this , is how to identify them. Inductive loads are made up of coil of wires or winding. For proper identifying of these loads, let's use examples. Here are some common examples of inductive loads: 1. Electric Motors. Examples are Fans, pumps, compressors, refrigerators, washing machines. 2. Transformers. Examples are , Power transformers, distribution transformers 3. Relays and Contactors . Examples are , Automotive relays, industrial contactors 4. Solenoids. Examples are, Electric door locks, hydraulic valves, car starter solenoids 5. Induction Cooktops. 6. Fluorescent lamps. 7.Welding machines. 8. Loudspeaker. Note, that in all these inductive loads mentioned above, two things are common in all of them, which are magnetic energy and coil. This simply means that any load that have coil is an inductive load.
