Once the filling process has begun, it’s important you don’t stop water flow until the pool is completely filled to the middle of the tile water line. Stopping the process before the water reaches the middle of the tile’s water line will leave a permanent mark on your plaster. Also be sure that water does not flow down the sides of the pool or this will also stain the plaster. The average pool takes between 12-24 hours to fill. This means that in some cases, you’ll be filling your pool with water overnight. If you worry about overflow, just turn the water down – but again, do not stop the flow. After your pool is completely filled with water, turn the hose off. If you have a spa to fill next, carefully move the hose to the spa.
