She experimented with song and videomaking in high school, and put out her first mixtape, Drunken Babble, in 2012. The tape was entirely self-produced, and is described as a genre-defying piece reworking the vintage sounds of Brenton Woods and 60's and 70's soul. She went on to collaborate with Snoop Dogg and Diplo in 2014, and in February 2015, released her first studio project, Por Vida, for free. Por Vida features production from Tyler, the Creator, Diplo, Kaytranada, and others.
