Welcome and thank you for joining us for the Lyra Music Virtual festival 2020! We are thrilled to bring you the final of five carefully curated videos presenting outstanding classical music performance and conversation through the month of July. In the creation of this summer's virtual festival, we invited our guest artists and summer faculty to join us from their homes with pieces selected by the artists in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic. With each video, you will have a chance to hear the musicians speaking to their experiences through this challenging time, sharing something of their background in music, and discussing the pieces that they have chosen to perform for us as they reflect on their composition and meaning. We hope that you enjoy hearing from the musicians through brief interviews and beautifully recorded home performances. This content will be available on our website throughout the months of July and August and we hope that you will share our link with friends and family.
