always liked this song and I thought it perfect for Scully who let her fears hold her back until so many things transpired that it made her re-evaluate her life and herself. I wanted to show that progression. Its not just a cancer arc vid, although that was a big part of that. Also think with all the danger and crisis in her life, she really began longing for, if not a conventional life, one with some normalcy in it. Tried to show how some of these experiences shaped what she wanted for herself. hoped for this to not be a big drag however, and instead more action-y in feel. Its interesting that there are so many times in the xfiles when Scully is staring into mirrors and I think this is a very intentional metaphor for times when she is searching for the image within, self reflection, so thats the opening bit. I try really hard to avoid using the same handful of often used xf scenes, but I kinda had to dip into many of them here thanks for watching
