In partnership with Cultural Fashion & Arts, Cultural Style Week brought an unforgettable celebration of Uzbek, Uyghur, and Azerbaijani traditions to EID in The Square 2024. Hosted by Kamila Erkaboyeva, this breathtaking showcase blended fashion, music, and dance, offering a rich tapestry of cultural heritage. Uzbek musicians Khurshidbek Ubaydullaev, Dostonjon Mirzokarimov, and Shokhrukh Khalilov mesmerized the audience with traditional instruments like the doyra and ney, transporting them through centuries-old melodies. Their performance was beautifully complemented by Uyghur dancers from Asia Steps, featuring Hayrigul Saba and her daughter Sayide, whose graceful movements embodied the deep-rooted traditions of their culture. The showcase continued with a spellbinding Azerbaijani folk dance by Sakina Mukhtarli, a talented dancer trained with Cucelerim Dance Ensemble in Azerbaijan and the State Folk Dance Ensemble of Turkey. Now based in the UK, Sakina leads the Azerbaijani Dance and Music Group, bringing the beauty of Azerbaijani traditions to international audiences. Her performance at Trafalgar Square was a testament to the resilience and vibrancy of Azerbaijani heritage. A Celebration of Fashion & Identity: Kamila Erkaboyeva, joined by Cultural Style Week founder Candy and ambassadors Robert, Marcus, Shabbir, Helen, and Alexandra, captivated the audience with their heartfelt reflections on cultural identity.
