HISTORIC FIRST: The first flight of Vulcan Centaur on Jan 08 will be launching the first commercial spacecraft to attempt a soft landing on the moon. #VulcanRocket's #Cert1 mission to launch a commercial lander called Peregrine lander of Astrobotic to the Moon and carry a memorial payload into deep space. ULA's first #VulcanRocket flight test and Cert1 mission is planned for Jan. 8, 2024, pending range approval. The Vulcan VC2S rocket will launch from SLC-41 from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida. ULA's Peregrine 1 mission with the first flight of the new #Vulcan rocket leaves the VIF this morning heading to the pad at #NASA.
