A big, long-standing project finally came to an end this week: the restoration of our ground floor shutters. It took a while (about half a year, to be exact), but we got there in the end. In between the shutter work, we harvested wild mushrooms, wove the last hazel cloches for the vegetable garden, laid more stones in the dry-stone wall, planted out new seedlings, and kept inching forward on the table saw table build. We're Isis & Bertus, a Belgian-Dutch couple. In the summer of 2023 we moved into a neglected farmhouse in a tiny village in the northwest of Italy. The last inhabitants left some 15 years ago, but large parts of the property have been empty for well over 20 years. Thank you for joining us on our adventure!
