1 안식일에 예수께서 밀밭 사이로 지나가실새 제자들이 이삭을 잘라 손으로 비비어 먹으니 2 어떤 바리새인들이 말하되 어찌하여 안식일에 하지 못할 일을 하느냐 3 예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 다윗이 자기 및 자기와 함께 한 자들이 시장할 때에 한 일을 읽지 못하였느냐 4 그가 하나님의 전에 들어가서 다만 제사장 외에는 먹어서는 안 되는 진설병을 먹고 함께 한 자들에게도 주지 아니하였느냐 5 또 이르시되 인자는 안식일의 주인이니라 하시더라 예수님은 많은 사람들을 치료하시며 천국복음을 가르치셨습니다. 바리새인들과 서기관들은 비방거리를 찾기 위해 예수님이 가시는 곳마다 따라 다녔습니다. 누가복음은 예수님과 이들과의 대화를 통해 예수님이 주시는 말씀을 잘 전하고 있습니다. 오늘도 바리새인들이 예수님과 제자들을 비방하는 말을 들으시고 하신 말씀입니다. 보리가 익어 이삭을 앞두고 있는 안식일, 배고픈 제자들이 밭에서 보리이삭을 잘라 비벼 먹는 것을 본 바리새인이 비방했습니다. 이 때 예수님은 다윗에 관한 말씀을 해 주셨습니다. “너희들이 다윗에 대한 이야기를 읽어보지 않았느냐? 그가 배가 고플 때 하나님의 전에 들어가서 제사장만 먹을 수 있는 진설병을 먹고 그와 함께한 자들에게도 주지 않았느냐?”(3-4)고 하셨습니다. 당시 일행과 함께 사울에게 쫓기고 있었던 다윗은 놉에 있는 제사장 아히멜렉에게 가서 먹을 것을 구했고, 제사장만 먹을 수 있는 진설병만 가지고 있었던 아히멜렉은 이를 주었습니다. 여기서 다윗은 두 가지 법을 어겼습니다. 일반인으로 하나님의 집에 들어간 것과 제사장만 먹는 진설병을 먹은 것입니다. 그러나 정죄되지 않았던 이유는 다윗과 일행의 생명이 위험에 처해 있었기 때문이었습니다. 생명이 위험에 처했을 때 율법과 안식일의 법을 다른 법으로 대처해 사람을 살릴 수 있었습니다. 모든 율법의 목적은 사람을 살리는 데 있기 때문입니다(레18:5). 예수님의 제자들도 안식일이지만 배가 고파 밀 이삭을 손으로 비벼서 먹었기에, 그것만으로 안식일을 어겼다고 말할 수 없다는 것이었습니다. 이어서 인자는 안식일의 주인이라(5)고 말씀하셨습니다. 예수님이 안식일을 만드시고, 관리하고 책임지는 분이라는 뜻입니다. 또한 안식일에는 쉬기도 하지만 제사장 중에는 제사를 드리는 사람들도 있음을 알아야 한다는 뜻입니다(레24:8; 민28:9-10). 제사장들은 안식일의 주인을 위해 일하고 제물을 드리는데 이는 쉬운 노동이 아니었습니다. 제자들은 안식일의 주인이신 예수님과 함께 있으며 주인을 위해 일하며 섬기다가 배가 고파 음식을 먹고 있으므로, 안식일 법을 어겼다고 할 수 없다는 것입니다. 사랑의 주님! 은혜와 사랑에 감사드립니다. 함께 있으면 항상 우리 편이신 주님을 더욱 사랑하도록 도와주소서! 예수님의 이름으로 기도드립니다. 아멘! QT Sharing Text: Luke 6:1-5 Title: Jesus, Lord of the Sabbath Jesus healed many people and taught the gospel of the kingdom. The Pharisees and the scribes followed Jesus wherever He went to seek slander from Him. The Gospel of Luke conveys the words of Jesus well through conversations with Jesus and them. Today's message is also what Jesus said when He heard the Pharisees slander Jesus and his disciples. It was a Sabbath day when the barley was ripe and the harvest was ready. The place was a barley field. The outline of the case begins with the disciples being hungry. Therefore, the disciples cut the ears of barley and rubbed them to eat. When the Pharisee saw this, he blasphemed the disciples for doing what was not allowed on the Sabbath. At this time, Jesus told them about David. “Have you not read the story of David? Didn't he go into the house of God when he was hungry and eat the showbread that only the priests could eat, and also give it to those who were with him?” (3-4). So what does this mean? At that time, David and his companions were being pursued by Saul. Their lives were in great danger. At this time David went to Ahimelech the priest in Nob to ask for something to eat. But the priests usually had no bread to eat. He had the only showbread, which only priests could eat(1 Sam 21:1-6). The priest gave David a showbread. Here David broke two laws. The first was to enter the house of God as an ordinary person, and the second was to eat the showbread, which only the priests ate. But this was not condemned because David and his companions were in great danger of their lives. When a person's life was in danger, the law and the law of the Sabbath were dealt with by a different law, and a person could be saved. Because the purpose of all laws is to save people (Leviticus 18:5). Therefore, Jesus said that, like David, the disciples also had the Sabbath, but they could not say that they had broken the Sabbath just by rubbing their hands and eating the heads of wheat when they were hungry. And then Jesus said that the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath (5). First of all, this means that Jesus is the creator of the Sabbath. Second, it means that Jesus manages and takes responsibility for the Sabbath. Third, it means that we should know that there are some priests who offer sacrifices on the Sabbath (Leviticus 24:8; Num. 28:9-10). The priests work and offer sacrifices for the Lord of the Sabbath. This was not an easy task. Therefore, the disciples cannot say that they have broken the Sabbath law because they are hungry and eating food while working and serving the Lord while with Jesus, the Lord of the Sabbath.
