Exploring Hidden Cave in Meghalaya | Krem chympe : Nongjrong | Offbeat Meghalaya Ep 01

This is Krem Chympe — Meghalaya’s hidden paradise. Tucked deep inside East Jaintia Hills, it’s India’s 5th longest cave, and unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Located near Khaddum village in East Jaintia Hills, Krem Chympe is India’s 5th longest cave, stretching over 20 kilometers underground. But it’s not just about the length — it’s the journey that takes your breath away. Inside, you’ll find natural limestone dams (gours), rare blind cave fish, massive bat colonies, and a fragile world that has remained untouched for centuries. This cave is not on regular tourist maps — it is raw, pure, and spiritual. You can only enter it by swimming or rafting into complete darkness. No road, no signs. Just the sound of water, the echo of your breath, and a world untouched by time. Crystal-clear waters. Limestone pools. Blind cave fish. This isn’t a tourist spot — it’s a secret only nature can keep. But the journey didn’t start there. We began this story at Nongjrong, a quiet hilltop village where the sunrise touches the clouds, and time slows down. A view so surreal, you feel weightless. And later in this series, we travel further into the Garo Hills, chasing waterfalls, caves, and stories from villages hidden far from the map. 🎥 What to Expect in This Series: – One of the most untouched caves in India – Floating into the darkness of Krem Chympe – The dreamlike sunrise of Nongjrong – Unseen stories from Garo Hills – Meghalaya, like you’ve never seen it before 📍 Locations: Khaddum Village, Nongjrong, Garo Hills — Meghalaya 🎥 Shot on: Sony FX30 & DJI Mini 4 Pro 🎙️ Narrated & Filmed by: Shakti (Traveling Mondays) Which place are you most excited to visit?
