Originally recorded September 28, 2023. This hidden camera masquerades as a smoke detector, and at a casual glance, it most certainly does the trick. You really cannot detect the camera built within. There are no lights that shine while the camera is on. (This is NOT a smoke detector at all, it is just a camera). There is a built-in rechargeable battery. It can run off battery and be recharged via USB, but it also has a hardwire option to keep it powered all the time, if you have an existing electrical box. The camera can rotate 360°, controllable via the CIXICM app. However, if someone is in the room lying in bed for example, and see it turn, they'd know something was up, so you want to be careful if you are using that to spy on someone. The camera records at 2K resolution and has a microSD card slot, which will accept a card up to 256GB. This also can connect to both a 2.4GHz and a 5GHz network, depending on what you have.
