In this module, Cate discusses the validity of standardized tests and whether they measure what they claim to measure. Most standardized tests lack construct validity and have poor specificity and sensitivity measures. The presence of spectrum bias further reduces the diagnostic accuracy of standardized tests, requiring expertise in disability determinations to diagnose mild to moderate disabilities.
