When the guys from Eventide told me, time ago, that they was working on a development of distortion algorithms, my first reaction was: "hummmm... You will need a lot of luck, guys... digital distortions always suck...!!!", but knowing well the reputation and the way they work, something makes me feel like this could be different (we are talking about EVENTIDE...!!!!). When I installed the New Crushstation algo in my H9MAX and start to play through the different presets, It was a shock, not only for the way that it sounds. One more time, the guys from I+R surprised me. Could be find easily a lot of cool and useable metal sounds out from some digital FX´s box, and this algorithm can cover perfectly all that region (Mr. Reid is one of the sculptors of the best metal sounds IMHO, and you can hear a lot of him in some of the presets...). BUT... The most "dangerous zone" for a digital based distortion for me, is the middle gain, and the reaction of the gain structure in relation of my guitar volume knob. For a crazy tube freak like me, the "dynamic response" in the sound is something I can´t live without. In this preset you can find it and you can create some of the most beautiful overdrive´s, and beyond...!!!! CONGRATULATIONS GUYS, one more time, you jump higher than the expectations...!!! Cuando los chicos de Eventide me dijeron hace un tiempo, que estaban trabajando en el desarrollo de algoritmos de distorsión, mi primera reacción fue: "hummmm... Vais a necesitar mucha suerte, chicos... las distorsiones digitales no molan...!!! ", pero conociendo bien la reputación y su forma de trabajar, algo me hacia sentir que esto podría ser diferente (estamos hablando de EVENTIDE ... !!!!). Cuando instalé el Nuevo algoritmo Crushstation en mi H9MAX y empecé a tocar a través de los diferentes presets, Fue un shock, no sólo por la forma en que suena. Una vez más, los chicos de I + R me sorprendieron gratamente.. Puedes encontrar fácilmente un montón de distorsiones metaleras y utilizables en cualquier pedalera digital, y este algoritmo puede cubrir perfectamente esa región (el Sr. Reid es uno de los escultores de los mejores sonidos de metal, en mi humilde opinión, y se puede oír un montón de él en algunos de los presets ...). PERO ... La "zona peligrosa" para mí, más en una distorsión basada en un aparato digital, es la ganancia media, y la reacción de la estructura de ganancia en relación con el potenciómetro de volumen de la guitarra. Para un fanático friki de las valvulas como yo, la "respuesta dinámica" en el sonido es algo de lo que no puedo vivir sin. En este preset puedes encontrarla y puede crear algunos de los más bellos overdrives, y más allá ... !!!! ENHORABUENA CHICOS, una vez más, dais un salto más alto que las expectativas generadas...!!!
