This week's metal detecting adventure takes Dog-Tag Doug and me up to Historic New England in search of the rare 1652 Pine Tree Shilling. This rare silver coin was one of the earliest made in the new world and was minted by John Hull of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Although the coin was suppose to be dispursed all across the colonies, most never remained in the area and over the centuries a countless number of them have been lost.
