Unfortunately, the time has come, and the H&G1servers have been shut down for good. Enjoy and re live some of my final battles. Weapons Used: The Soviet Captured, German built Karabiner 98 Kurz (Bolt-action Rifle) 1-Hit Kill Build; Ammunition- Anschusspatrone s.S. Sight- ZS Zielacht (Fine Cross) Trigger- Marksman Trigger Job Internal- Heavy Bolt Barrel- Scout II Ammo. Load- 2 Pouches (95 Rounds) + Machine Carbine Mk + Captured/Stolen German Recon Karabiner 98 Kurz (Bolt-action Rifle) (Unknown Build, but possibly 1-Hit Kill) With the last day before shut down upon us, I decided to play the Assult with any Soviet Soldier option. I started off with a Soviet Recon Soldier, then I tried my luck with being a Soviet Infantry Soldier and finally I settled into what I know best, and that is long distance shooting/sniping with Soviet Infantry Soldier acting as a Recon because I managed to capture/steal a Karabiner 98 Kurz from a German Recon Soldier. I had lots of fun with plenty of long distance kills. It was difficult when trying to defend with an Anti-Aircraft Gun against enemy planes, especially as I was not mobile therefore I was an easy target for both enemy aircraft and enemy infantry. Overall, It was an enjoyable battle in which I got to snipe/shoot from my favourite Recon location on this map and that is on the hill behind either our or enemy spawn point. Its a good position as you can get clear views with the right scope of both 01 and 02 points. My K/D was 25/6. Which was not too bad, finishing 3rd best in my team with the score of 858. points. It was a fairly big battle that grew over time with lots of players. As for Recon, its my favourite to play and I am quite good at it. With the right mix of weapons, weapon set up and badges it can be quite fun to play. I will definetly miss battles like this. *Should note this was played on 300 ping. A hidden gem in the gaming world. Heroes & Generals brought so much joy to many of us who appreciate the WWII action type of game. Similar to the classic Counter Strike CS1.6. This game provides so much without the need for heavy output.
