I love myself some H.P. Lovecraft horror and though there are a few games out there that use the mythos created by the horror writer, many of them are not that great. Therefore it was such a huge surprise to me that one of the best Cthulhu games out there is this small indie title called The Shore. I have already archived this over two years ago on the channel, but hope to now introduce it to a wider audience since this game deserves it and present it in glorious 4K. It was made by a very small studio and absolutely blew me away with the portrayal of the otherworldly creatures that you get to see here. It starts out very silent and calm as you explore a small island with a lighthouse. It feels almost a bit like Myst as you solve various, small puzzles and read notes that were left behind. But the game soon turns into something different and even introduces combat and chase sequences and it had me guessing where it went every time. There were quite a few things I forgot when I played this again two years later and it was an absolute joy to experience it once more.
