These features not only support the stokeholders of many projects in the construction field to monitor cost to date but to forecast cost to complete through some technique such as earned value management, enabling projects' success as to cost and time control. As a result, there have been many software on the market such as Procore, Build Space, Primavera, to name a few that have ambitious to cover all aspects of a construction project from cost planning, tender procurement, to post contract management. That being said, due to the extensive coverage, these software is somewhat unable to support the customization on their platform but allowing exporting to Excel for further analysis. In the below video, I would like to share my experience on how to use Power Query and Pivot Table in Ms. Excel to combine and transform different concrete quantity's reports from three simultaneous projects in the role of a PM.
