Her passions have always been theatre and music. From a young age, she was destined to be an artist in one way or another. She went to the famous drama school “Academy of Live and Recorded Arts” in London, where she studied dancing, singing and acting. Straight after leaving drama school, she started working in various theatre companies including “The English Shakespeare Company” and she also took part in ‘The Edinburgh Festival’. In 1998 she moved to Italy where she started organising and acting in Theatre Educational Workshops. In 1999 she worked in a recording studio in Milan with various Italian singers perfecting their pronunciation and it was here that she met the well known producer Roberto Turatti. It was at that point that the Kim Lukas music project began with the collaboration of the super production team of Giorgio Boretti, Silvio Melloni and Gino Zandonà. Her first single “All I Really Want” was released in May 1999 and it was remixed by Eiffel 65. It was a chart topping hit all over the world (Top Ten in Europe, Canada, Russia and Australia), followed by a second successful single “Let it Be The Night” (2000). Soon after the album “With a K” (2000) was released, the third single “To Be You” (2000) came out and was then followed by “Cloud 9” (2001). After a huge international success, Kim Lukas took part in some of the most important music programmes, TV shows, radio interviews and live shows in Italy and worldwide. In 2002 Kim Lukas collaborated as Video DJ, presenter and co-writer of the show “The European Top 20”. In 2011 she was involved in another important music project, the single “One more Day” (Simon De Jano Feat. Kim Lukas); Simon De Jano - writer and producer of huge hits like “Piece of Your Heart” and “Lose Control”- is part of the famous music group Meduza. Since 2013 she has been part of the project “Girls Party” with two other very famous dance artists, Neja and Nathalie Aarts from the “The Sound Lovers”. Kim Lukas is still very much present in the music world as a songwriter and singer and she continues performing her live shows all over Europe. In 2015 the song “You Know” was released with the project “3Dom Feat. Kim Lukas”. In 2019 the single “Upside Down” was published thanks to the idea of DJ Jump, who brought together in the album “Back To The Feat” artists from the history of the dance music scene (Erika, Neja, Jeffrey Jey, Haiducii, Magic Box, Paps, Dj Ross, Roby Rossini, Lady Helel, Dj Maxwell, Jenny Dee, Nathalie Aarts). Kim Lukas still writes the lyrics of all her songs and of other numerous artists; she has collaborated – among others – with Sagi Rei, Hard in Tango, Dj Bum Bum. NATHALIE AARTS & KIM LUKAS After having worked together many times since 1999 for various promotional tours all over the world, Nathalie Aarts & Kim Lukas become friends. The two singers, often confused one for the other because of their physical similarities, start singing together just like “two real sisters”. In the first week of September in 2007 their first single “Change The World” is released. Nathalie Aarts & Kim Lukas bring their talents together again to work on another wonderful song “Breathe Again”, released in July of 2011 and produced with the collaboration of the much celebrated song writer Graziano Pegoraro (Famous for the hit “Run To Me” by Tracy Spencer and other hits like Ava & Stone, Mato Grosso, T42). In 2013, Nathalie Aarts & Kim Lukas record their third single “Sad Girl”, released in June 2013, produced by the same team of “Breathe Again”. This song is dedicated to Graziano Pegoraro after his sudden and much unexpected loss. After two years, the two “sisters” are again back together in the studio writing the lyrics for their fourth song “All Right”. Released in November 2015 with the collaboration of Bang Record, the new single is full of energy and optimism. After a long wait, Nathalie Aarts & Kim Lukas return to sing together and get their fans up and dancing to their fifth single “Boogie Baby”, written with a modern sound by Roby Santini - songwriter and producer of many successful dance hits like “Up & Down” by Billy More & “Surrender” from The Soundlovers. “Boogie Baby” - produced with the collaboration of Ale Viale and Dj Ross – is published by Bang Record on the 3rd of April 2020, followed by the RSDJ version, released on the 16th of Aprile 2020. In 2020 on December 9 another important release, created by the talented producers Dj Jump and Roby Giordana (on the label New Music International); "L’Amour Toujours" by Gigi D’Agostino, revisited by 18 legendary dance artists of the 90s (including Kim Lukas)! The proceeds have been donated to Scena Unita, the fund for music and entertainment employees!
