With only six weeks to Boston and my tune-up race behind me, episode 4 follows the first of my last 3 big weeks before I start to taper to Boston. This is when mileage gets high, legs get heavy, workouts get longer, and my last long run tops off at 25 miles with a 4 mile pickup. This marathon build has seemed to be a little more grindy than normal, but I feel like things are starting to click. Episode 4 highlights Coach Eyestone and how he balances coaching Conner Mantz and me with our different personalities, strengths, and weaknesses. He cares. I'm excited to race my first Boston Marathon on April 21st, 2025. After a breakthrough year in 2024 where I made my first Olympic team and placed top 10 in the world, I have big goals for 2025. Follow along as I share my journey in an eight-part docuseries highlighting my build to the Boston Marathon. Thank you to Cadence for sponsoring this docuseries. Hydration is a key part of not only my performance, but also my recovery, and the Cadence Electrolyte Sachets help make that happen. I have been utilizing the Cadence Energy, Core, and Sleep Sachets throughout my day to target key workouts, big races, general hydration, and deep sleep. Boston is known for its hills and unpredictable weather–something we often simulate in practice. This is when my pace becomes irrelevant. Lately I have been using the Stryd App to compare my power throughout a workout, which despite the hills and wind, can show a consistent effort.
