Title says it all. Many of the steps involved in setting up WFW 3.11 on DOSBox-X is very similar to Windows 3.1, just a few extra steps. I'm installing both Netscape Version 3 along with the Exceed Hummingbird X-Server as well to justify networking support. Technically, the copy of WFW 3.11 being installed came from a Packard Bell recovery CD. However, it's essentially the same as the retail version. The standard S3 SVGA Video Drivers along with the Creative Labs SB16 Audio Drivers are installed. However, I'm also installing Microsoft's TCP/IP-32 Protocol stack as well. Because of the intense Texas heat (I don't want my PC burning up while running DOSBox-X), I'm also installing the WQGHLT.386 CPU Driver in the WFW 3.11 SYSTEM.INI file. This file provides the CPU Halt instruction for processors/environments that don't natively have one. The WGQHLT.386 driver is the one for Windows 3.x. DOSIDLE was installed as well just to cover all my bases. Netscape Navigator 3.0 was installed. To use this web-browser today, just visit websities geared towards them like frogfind.com or theoldnet.com. From TheOldNet, I recommend visiting ibm.net because on there search page, they have a listing of all the major search engines from that time, like Excite, Altavista, and Yahoo.
