The word “sacrifice” may have become a slightly less unsettling term in the current pandemic era given all the real-world comforts and connections we’ve given up during the past year. Nonetheless, it’s an idea that tends to put a lot of folks on edge. Still, others are highly ego-invested in their self-sacrificial behaviors. So what good is the concept of sacrifice for our purposes?
