The typical rolling bass line is best known from the psytrance genre. But more recently it has found its way into peak time techno. It can be heard in tracks by Eli Brown, Teenage Mutants, Space 92 and many more. In this video, Lukas shows you how to create the typical galloping 16th bass line using Ableton Live's Wavetable synthesizer, with 3 levels of complexity. The first level involves writing and designing the MIDI line and synth patch. The second level is all about tweaking the sound and the MIDI. Level 3 involves processing, mixing and layering.
