Flood Forecasting for Anticipatory Action: Applying Flood Models in Humanitarian Contexts
This webinar hosted by the OCHA Centre for Humanitarian Data explores how flood models are used to get ahead of humanitarian crises and protect vulnerable populations. Presenters from the Google Flood Forecasting Initiative, the University of Reading and the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre introduce flood forecasting and discuss integrating flood modelling into humanitarian response. They also provide examples of applying flood models to anticipatory action in Nepal and Bangladesh.
