I believe that future casting is a function of our untapped brain potential and NOT anything spiritual or metaphysical. So. Now that’s out of the way, let’s start. Don't worry about reading books, or paying for courses. If you are just starting out, just start spreading the cards TWO BY TWO, to keep it simple. With every two cards clarifying the last two cards. Go to the internet and pick AT LEAST TWO websites which can give you examples of what each pairing MIGHT MEAN. The better websites will (1) tell you that the possible interpretations they give out CAN NOT BE THE ONLY ones there are. The context of your reading and your questions are VERY important, and (2) ensure that they are helping you to make your own interpretations within the contexts of your own reading, spread, and questions, and NOT provide interpretations of each pairings of symbols. NOTE that traditional and conventional "meanings" of the symbols is standard practice. Also note that there are different schools of lenormand traditions which will give variations the traditional and conventional meaning to each of these symbols. The story which can unfold from this "method" is not unlike ones we can spot in the classic 9-card spread or a Grand Tableu, albeit not as elegant. But if you are looking for a place to start, I personally believe that this might be a more productive place to begin your exploration, rather than jumping straight to the classic 9. Two cards at a time, gives more room for confidence building, which I have found to be a very important element we can not do without at the beginning of any learning journey. This "method" also assists with better efficiency in building up our lenormand vocabulary, slowly, bu surely, two cards at at time. What I am still learning, is asking the right question. Lenormand cards communicate like a primitive artificial intelligence. It can only reply according to what it has been programmed to do, to think about, to analyze, and to respond with. As you can see here, I asked "what is going on". So they said "A pleasant conversation". What I should have asked was "What is going on with the parcel that I have posted in December 2017". My question was not specific enough. It was not clear enough :P But as you can see, this "method" is quite forgiving in allowing me to get there in the end :D With this method, I always do :D This "method" was inspired by Donnaleigh's lenormand tutorial videos: Tarot Tribe Beyond Worlds (Donnaleigh) / @donnaleightarot Donnaleigh http://donnaleigh.com/ To get yourself started on POSSIBLE meanings: Cafe Lenormand https://www.cafelenormand.com/ Learn Lenormand http://learnlenormand.com/ UPDATE & CAUTION The above two lenormand sites have now been buried under many other similar newer lenormand sites offering the same guidance but in a very “tarot-ized” way. They tend to give you too much of their own interpretations and do not give you enough room to develop your own. Especially if you are just starting out. My recommendation would still be to stick to the most basic understanding of the symbols, no matter according to which lenormand tradition. From there you can develop your own sense of relationships between symbols which will be the foundation of your reading method.
