FROM THE BEGINNING Solo - Synth Tutorial (ELP) 🎹 with transcription

One of my all time favorite classic rock Moog solos - here's a quick little play-a-long video I made with musical notation for the synth part at the end of From The Beginning by Keith Emerson (RIP) from Emerson Lake & Palmer with my Behringer Model D. This isn't a traditional keyboard lesson where I explain every little detail. It's geared towards slightly more advanced players who may have some skill with reading music or can take the time to break down each section on their own with the help of the transcription and my performance. The original Moog solo was performed on a Moog Modular synth. The Model D (MiniMoog clone) can get pretty close to the original sound but definitely has its own character. You can see the settings I used in the video. I also played the acoustic guitar part, bass on my Roland VR 730 and programmed a little drumbeat on the Roland Boutique TR-08. Good times.
