SAVING OUR PLANET - Toàn Ân [OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO]

According to www.ran.org, about 3.5 billion to 7 million trees in the Amazons are cut down annually and this is so terrifying! We want people not only to be aware of that alarming fact but to be also mindful about our detrimental impacts on the environment. We are just small individuals, no matter how much we contribute to the act of saving the planet and what we are doing, it will never enough so we want to gather everyone’s attention and act for a good cause and actually, it is our only goal. We notice so many people around us know that the environment is getting worse but they aren’t doing anything and it makes us wonder if we are neglecting our own future. After all, we believe that in order for a society, for a planet to grow healthy, sustainability is the only answer! Our goal is for people to be aware and acknowledge that climate change has already been happening on a global scale and it has significantly and negatively affected our lives in so many ways in the past few decades. We- as global citizens and international students- feel that this problematic issue is so urgent and alarming; on the other hand, it is also really challenging for us to take actions as this requires a process perseverance, commitment and determination of the whole society including individuals from every continent, nation and ethnicity in order to combat global warming. People say never despise small beginnings so every action, even the simplest one, counts! We feel like music- an universal language- would convey messages so much stronger than verbalizing them. Taking that into account, our song “Saving the planet” is a channel from us students to the world; the song talks about the bad environmental circumstances and more specifically: climate change. What special about the song is that it is sung by 2 languages: Vietnamese and English. The first verse written in Vietnamese symbolizes us as citizens speaking from just a small country- our country Vietnam but then the rest of the song is sung in English because we want to emphasize that global warming isn’t happening locally but it is now a major global issue. We believe an image says a thousand words; with that being said, our team decided to wrap the song in a mini video. In this video, the band’s process and pictures related to destroying and saving the environment are displayed. What unique about this music video is that everything including actresses/ actors, settings, lyrics, music, videoing and recording was originally, authentically and proudly made and produced by our passionate and dedicated team members. We feel like a combination of pictures and music would be very interesting and sentimental!
