Usual long breakdown of technical details to follow - but for now long story short: Spent months finding elusive original audio mix from the original release, picked it apart and attempted to remix and "restore" it with my ever-increasing collection of audio toys. (I put restore in quotes because that implies I was trying to match it to something original, rather this is more of a modernization/upgrade attempt using the original as a starting point). I then synced the audio to a newly cleaned up and remastered version of the video from the 2006 DVD release, which as most fans will tell you, isn't quite cinephile quality - replacing the very "different" version of the audio that was included on the 2006 DVD re-release...
