Here is my full review of the new early 2025 Cookiebot/Usercentrics update. Important: At this point, the update only applies if you open up a new account. If you've opened your account before 2025, you're still on one of the earlier versions. Full affiliate disclosure and official statement I am a Cookiebot affiliate. However I've decided to temporarily remove all affiliate links from my video's, because I do not want to promote something that I don't like using myself. It is not my intention to harm anyone and I don't like conflict. I've considered not publishing this quite a few times. The reason that I went forward is that I feel I owe this to my viewers. I've endorsed Cookiebot in the past everywhere I went. But the product has changed so drastically, I just feel I need to let my viewers know what they are getting into. Also Cookiebot / Usercentrics didn't do a great job communicating the product and pricing changes themself in my opinion. Even to affiliate partners as far as I can tell. Let me be clear that this is my personal experience and opinion. I wish that all of this wasn't necessary and I hope Usercentrics will use my feedback; either revert to the original product, improve the new product or at least shed light on the changes.
