Teachers share: Inside bilingual music classes

In this video, we take a peek inside two bilingual music classrooms in Taiwan, with fabulous music teachers Hsiang Ying and Yikai. Hsiang Ying takes us through a vocabulary matching activity with her class, using the instruments and characters from Sergei Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf. She demonstrates how to effectively use the target language in class, and shows us how her class learns about music in English. Yikai conducts his class through a "tone painting" exercise to help them connect with a variety of musical elements in different pieces of music, while describing what they're doing using the target language.
