Jahlil Okafor grew up idolizing Tim Duncan, and the Big Fundamental’s influence is readily apparent when you watch the former Blue Devil. The rook has moves. Tons of 'em. To the point that David Robinson (2x NBA Champion, MVP in 1995), compared the two when Okafor was still playing in Durham. That’s high praise considering the Admiral was Timmy’s mentor and longtime teammate. Big Jah has the unenviable task of being compared to one of the greatest players of all time, while also playing for the team that has lost the most in NBA history (the streak from earlier this season). He’s also been dealing with a few off-court incidents. Long story short, it’s been less than ideal for the big man. The good news is that Jahlil had an all-time great coach defending his character. If Mike Krzyzewski says this guy is “one of the greatest kids ever,” then we should be patient with him. The young fella’s hands might just be big enough that he can help turn Philly’s fortunes around. After all, he’s not even half a season into his NBA career yet, but he’s already impressed enough to warrant a video. This video isn’t entirely about post play. The Chicago native has such a polished offensive game for a young big man, that it’s hard to capture everything in one video.
