It's been two years since I last went home to Finland. It was something I have been looking forward to from a long time. So when we finally did sort out all the paper work and permissions, I was so excited to finally travel home. My husband Vinod had never met my side of the family. And baby Annika was born in Kerala and had seen my mom & sister only on video calls. I didn't even know how she would react to such a long journey and especially the weather. Going from +30C to -10C is never easy, even for adults. Added to all this was the uncertainty caused by the new variant of the virus! So much anxiety till the last moment. But it all ended well.
