Sunset Walk on Side Streets and Travel Hot Spots | Kyoto, Japan 4K

This is a longer walk than I had initially planned, especially considering the heat, but as I was in Kyoto to meet a friend and hadn't been there for a while I thought it would be nice to do a meandering exploratory walk through some of the cities famous sightseeing hot spots as well as its lesser-known side streets. We start walking through the Imperial Palace Park just before sunset, cross the Kamo River, and into quiet Higashiyama neighborhoods at dusk. From there we follow the Shirakawa River as dusk becomes evening, and then take a walk through Yasaka Shrine, Ninenzaka, and Gion, before crossing the river again and through Restaurant Alley and Kiyamachi. Even though it is a long walk, we just kind of pass through some areas that I think will be interesting to explore more slowly and with more depth in future videos.
