But one man and his feline have done just that - testing a long-standing rivalry between canine and cat - and they're hopeful it'll become an annual tradition. Hundreds of spectators turned out to watch the 11-month-old Tonkinese's feat, swimming 550m against dozens of dogs, but the podium was just out of reach this year.
