Hermosa Beach is one of L.A.’s classic beach towns—just 1.4 square miles of pure coastal vibes. 🌊 Hermosa literally means “beautiful” in Spanish—and this beach totally lives up to the name. It’s perfect for surfing, sunbathing, or just staring at the waves pretending your life is a music video. 🎵 Cue dramatic ocean shot here. 🚲 The Strand. This iconic bike path runs right along the beach and stretches all the way from Santa Monica to Torrance. Whether you’re biking, skating, jogging, or awkwardly rollerblading (no judgment), it’s the place to see and be seen. 🎤 Fun fact: Hermosa Beach has some serious music history. The punk rock band Black Flag got its start here, and the legendary Comedy & Magic Club is where Jay Leno used to test out new jokes every week. 🏐 Hermosa is one of the birthplaces of beach volleyball. You’ll see pros and locals going head-to-head on the sand pretty much every day.
